Drake & Farrell working with KPN towards a circular economy!

Written by Reece

For many years now Drake & Farrell have been analysing, repairing and refurbishing network and customer devices for KPN. However, our goals have this week been formalised, and together with network and hardware manufacturers ARRIS, Ericsson, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Huawei, Teleplan and ZTE, we have signed the KPN Circular Manifesto.

This Manifesto outlines KPN’s goal of minimising its overall carbon and environmental footprint even as their volume of data traffic is expected to continue to grow exponentially.

KPN, Drake & Farrell and these hardware manufacturers will be working together to ensure that all new KPN network and customer hardware is designed to last longer. This includes production using fewer virgin raw materials, and assembly design allowing for the reuse or recycling of close to 100% of parts and resources by the year 2025.

The Netherlands is aiming for a circular economy before 2050. Drake & Farrell are determined to play an important part in this transition, and we are delighted to be able to help KPN with such an impact on the reuse of devices and materials! If you want to know more about KPN and the Circular Manifesto, you can check out KPN’s website.
