Bleiswijk: Drake & Farrell today announced that it has further expanded its commitment to environmental transparency by disclosing its environmental impact through CDP, a global non-profit organization that operates the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform. Drake & Farrell B.V. has been reporting through CDP since 2022 and completed the CDP Climate Change Questionnaire 2023 in 2023.
Drake & Farrell’s data will join the most comprehensive dataset of self-reported environmental data in the world – helping to drive action through greater transparency.
By disclosing through CDP, Drake & Farrell is prepared to respond to the increasing demand for environmental transparency from financial institutions, customers and policymakers. In its disclosure, Drake & Farrell states that its primary goal is to revolutionize E-waste by accelerating the transition to a circular supply chain.
Ronald van Maurik, Quality Assurance officer at Drake & Farrell, said:
“Setting and reporting on public objectives sets Drake & Farrell apart, demonstrates progress and accountability on issues that matter most to stakeholders, and helps us better manage our social and environmental risks and opportunities. There is a compelling need to change… Whether it concerns societal changes around emissions, or attracting the new generation who want to do different types of work, or realizing the impact of our activities on air, water and country. As organizations address climate change, stakeholders also recognize that Drake & Farrell can play a role in conserving nature’s resources. CDP is the platform we use to evaluate our sustainability practices and communicate about them broadly.
Sherry Madera, Chief Executive Officer at CDP, said:
“With more than 23,000 companies coming clean through CDP this year, it is clear that sustainability – and the data that underpins it – is not a ‘nice to have’, but an essential part of long-term success in the business community that shows no sign of slowing down – and nor should it.
“Disclosure works, and today we should take a brief pause to celebrate the commitment to transparency and accountability that Drake & Farrell has shown this year by reporting through CDP. “A 1.5 degree future is still possible if the global community works united to get there. “By sharing their environmental data with the CDP, Drake & Farrell is contributing to the environmental journey that will help keep that future in sight.”
